MISSION: To provide member churches an opportunity to educate their Minister leaders and congregations to a point of proficiency; in order that the Kingdom is producing strong, spiritual, doctrinally and viable disciples in our local churches.
|
To restructure the Congress so that it reflects a State-wide inclusiveness This will be accomplished by the following:
|
a. Restructuring the Deans and Directors of Christian Education Offices.
b. Giving Regional responsibility to Vice Presidents, Assistant Deans and
Regional Deans and Directors.
c. Assessing the needs of Member Churches through surveys to assure
that we are meeting their needs through our Curriculum.
d. Using resources within our State Convention and Congress to
compile and publish a Manuel of Victorious Christian Education in the
21ST Century.
Goals These are some of the things by the grace of God, we will achieve during this administration:
|
a. To establish an accredited Seminary for Pastors, Christian Educators,
Church Administrators, Missionaries and Christian Workers; that will
enable them to pursue Certificate and Degree programs in their area of
ministry.
b. To establish and provide in conjunction with the New York State
United Chaplains a Chaplainry Division where Pastors, Ministers,
Deacons and Missionaries receive proper credentials to enter this field of
Ministry.
c. To develop Youth Ministry Workers so that our Churches are not using
18TH century methods in a 21ST century Church and to encourage
closer generational ties to this ministry area.
d. To offer to member Churches courses that will reflect the needs of our
Churches: i.e., Church Finance and Management; Church Administration,
Church Policy and Procedure (that fits your congregation), How to
develop volunteers, How to Effectively Raise Money for Church Projects
(Is Capital Campaigns the Correct Method or do we have alternatives?),
Computer Literacy in the Local Church, How to Organize and Expand the
Evangelistic Trust of the Local Congregation, Knowing Your Community;
How Active should the Church be in Local Politics and so on.
e. To expand Congress to meet the Bible Study needs and goals of the
local congregation. (Are we effective with just one night a week?) Is there
a need for an advanced and remedial Bible study?
f. To promote fiscal responsibility in the Congress by having a
comprehensive budget that is strictly adhered too. To provide regional
venues for educational opportunities that will generate revenue aside from
the Retreat and the Annual Congress session.
g. To create an educational vehicle for the entire Church and not just
young people. To actively engage, seek out and use those interested young
adults in our congregation as a means and method to help develop a 21st
Century Congress.
h. To raise scholarship monies for the Ruth V. Banks Scholarship fund
during our annual session and to provide regional scholarships in all
regions annually.
i. To develop a Congress Web Site, which will enable all Congress
business to be conducted through MODERN TECHNOLOGY.
